The Tenino boys basketball team was no match for Montesano, as the Bulldogs prevailed 74-21 Tuesday night in the first game of Evergreen action in Grays Harbor County.

It marks the lowest scoring output by the Beavers since Jan. 29, 2019, when they scored 20 in a loss to Hoquiam.

Tenino couldn’t score more than eight points in a quarter against the Bulldogs, and a balanced Montesano offensive attack overwhelmed the Beavers.

Kellan Johnson scored seven for Tenino, while Brayden Bennett, Henry Czuleger and Tucker Matheson each tallied four. Jeremiah McKague rounded out the scoring with a pair.

Tenino (2-11, 0-1 Evergreen) will host Elma on Thursday in the hopes of snapping a three-game losing streak.
