Olympia boys tennis stays hot, tops Emerald Ridge

The Olympia boys tennis team has now won its last four matches after defeating Emerald Ridge 4-1 at home Tuesday afternoon.

In first doubles, James Smith and Evan Guan won the first set 6-3 and regrouped after losing the first set 2-6 to prevail in the third set tiebreaker 10-7. 

Brian Yen and Joel Stave triumphed in second doubles 6-2, 6-4, against Liam Flanagan and Reiel Sabas. Brandon Phan and Tristan Reck rolled to a 6-1, 6-1, win over Mikhail Fletcher and Bennett Hobton. 



In first singles, Nigel Kikuta of Olympia came up short against Emerald Ridge’s James Steeholm, while Olympia’s Nick O’Sullivan outlasted Shardul Mahajan of Emerald Ridge 6-4, 6-2.

Next up for Olympia is a trip to Puyallup Thursday afternoon.
