The Northwest Christian trio of Marshall Guyer, Sam Bode and Kanakoa Paresa held Muckleshoot Tribal School hitless in a 17-2 victory in five innings Tuesday in Auburn.
The Wolverines offense only needed four hits to rack up 17 hits as they walked 24 times. They picked up two big swings in the first inning thanks to an RBI double from Parker Cox and an RBI triple by Guyer as part of a three-run first inning.
Northwest Christian tallied six runs in the second inning off of eight walks, three runs in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth. Guyer finished 2 for 2 with two RBIs, five runs scored, and four stolen bases while striking out five batters in two innings. Junior Ryker Hutchings earned his first career high school hit on an RBI single in the fourth.
“Gotta give credit to our guys for staying focused and playing well throughout,” Northwest Christian head coach Jordan Potis said.
Northwest Christian (9-4, 5-4 Sea-Tac League) will host Oakville at the Regional Athletic Complex Thursday afternoon.
