A woman and child were injured in a DUI crash on U.S. Highway 12 in Thurston County on Monday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The at-fault driver, identified by the State Patrol as Todd D. Golden, 54, of Centralia, faces possible vehicular assault and DUI charges.
Golden was reportedly driving a red 2017 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on U.S. Highway 12 when he crossed the centerline near Nicody Lane Southwest, according to the State Patrol. He crashed head-on into a black 2021 Subaru Forester driven by Stephanie L. Crow, 46, of Cosmopolis, that was driving westbound on U.S. Highway 12.
The Jeep came to rest blocking both eastbound and westbound lanes, while the Subaru came to rest on the right shoulder.
Troopers were dispatched to the crash at approximately 4:14 p.m., according to an incident report.
Crow and her unnamed 10-year-old passenger were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital for medical treatment.
Golden and his passenger, identified as Jessy R. Schiffman, 40, of Chehalis, were uninjured.
State patrol has determined that driving under the influence was the cause of the crash.
The roadway was blocked for approximately 3 hours and 53 minutes, according to an incident report.
