Gage Wiens and Emmett Goodman posted their best scores of the season on Wednesday, which helped W.F. West beat Black Hills and Aberdeen in an EvCo tri-match at Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis.
The Bearcats finished with a team total of 415, while the Bobcats logged a 434 and the Wolves finished at 440.
Wiens posted a 78, and Goodman carded an 82. Jayce Ayers finished in between the two, recording an 80, while Kobe Arevalo ended the afternoon with an 85. Layton Griffith rounded out the W.F. West team scorecard with a 90.
“The Bearcats continue to play some good golf,” W.F. West coach Matt Klovdahl said. “I was excited about the even and balanced scoring that we had.”
Black Hills was led by match medalist Landon Echols, who finished with a 4-over 74, while Kendell Roberson ended his round at 83. Brody Rice logged a 91, Gavin Sugarman added a 94, and Gavin Schultz recorded a 98.
Aberdeen was led by Isaac McCarty, who finished with an 80.
W.F. West will be back at Newaukum Valley next Wednesday, Oct. 7, when it will host Tumwater and Aberdeen in its final regular season match.
Black Hills will compete in its final match of the regular season on the same afternoon. The Wolves will face Centralia and Shelton at Riverside.
