Warriors’ scoring four all break 50 in dual with Eagles

Despite dropping an Evergreen League match to Elma 165-181 on Wednesday afternoon at Oaksridge, the Rochester High School boys golf team did experience a first this fall.

All of their varsity golfers carded under a 50 in the nine-hole match. Boden Grimm paced the Warriors with a 43 while Darin Ware recorded a 45. Wesley Dahl (46) and Bentley Alfonso (47) rounded out the low-four. It was also a PR by Alfonso.

“The course is in better shape than it has been in a few weeks, but the greens are still pretty tough to navigate,” Rochester head coach Brian Keese said. “I'm really excited at how well our team performed today.”

The Warriors will have three straight days of gold next week, starting on Monday versus Hoquiam.
