The Tumwater Police Department promoted two of its service members, Danielle Dawson and Bryent Finch, on Tuesday.
Following a swearing-in ceremony, Officer Dawson became Sergeant Dawson, and Finch leveled up from sergeant to lieutenant.
“The promotions mark huge milestones and two incredibly important roles within our organization,” the Tumwater Police Department said in a social media post on Dec. 23.
Finch now steps into the role of supporting strategy, guiding supervisors and shaping the bigger picture, while Dawson becomes the link between leadership and supporting the front line — setting the tone, mentoring officers and leading by example, the Tumwater Police Department said.
“Both are up to the challenge, and we are confident they will exceed standards,” the Tumwater Police Department stated.
