The Thunderbirds season came to an end on Monday night, falling to the Spudders 46-40 in a Class 2A District 4 elimination game in Ridgefield. After winning the pigtail game, Tumwater dropped its final two games of the season.

Trailing by five entering the locker room, the T-Birds whittled the deficit down to a possession to start the fourth, but never were able to grab control. Assistant head coach Gabi Larson left the sideline proud of her group.

“We’re changing the culture and turning this program around,” Larson said. “We have lots of work to do, but wonderful ladies that will help make it happen in the years to come. We’re so proud.”

Sophomore Maesyn Williams once again was the anchor for the T-Birds (13-11) scoring department with 11 points. Senior Claire Buono added 10 and Reece Brewer chipped in eight points.

Buono, Mya Burke, Kamryn Wilson and Cadynce Lee played their final game for Tumwater. Williams, Brewer, Anden Demaris and Malia Eggers are expected to lead the 2026-27 roster, attempting to build off a third place finish in the Evergreen Conference.
