Three River Ridge High School cross country runners enjoyed a strong afternoon Wednesday at a Puget Sound League meet on a slightly shortened course at Sehmel Homestead Park in Gig Harbor.
On the 4,150-meter course, senior Rylea Moss paced the Hawks girls team with a 20th-place run at 19 minutes, 42.31 seconds. Junior Xyla Camp wasn’t far behind at 19:58.58 to notch 22nd place.
For the boys, sophomore Miles Liedtke placed 26th with a time of 16:15.90. Junior Antonio Hopson (41st at 16:58.25) and senior Xavier Duran (43rd at 16:59.31) also made it into the top 50.
Junior Maximus Duran took 51st at 17:28.94, and freshman Frank Flammini was right behind him at 17:29.39 to finish 52nd. Senior Jack Taylor’s time of 17:33.58 was enough to place 54th, while junior Sawyer Swiss finished in 57th place at 17:39.24.
River Ridge will next compete in the Fort Steilacoom Invitational at Fort Steilacoom Park on Saturday.
