The Timberline girls soccer team is in the win column for the first time in 2026 as the Blazers shut out Mountain View 2-0 Saturday afternoon.
Junior forward Hannah Bustillo Steik was responsible for both of Timberline’s goals, finding the back of the net in the 13th minute and then again in the 27th. Junior midfielder Sarah Poore assisted the first goal, while freshman forward Layla Lacanlale picked up the assist on the second.
Lola Egger recorded a staggering 13 saves for the Blazers, who recorded 15 shots and eight shots on goal.
“Great for the girls to get their first win,” Timberline head coach Chris Crowe said.
Timberline (1-3) will host Olympia (2-0-1) in a Thurston County showdown Thursday, Sept. 17.
