The Thurston Forward DEIB Summit 2026 runs from Friday, May 1, to Saturday, May 2, with a series of programming dedicated to strengthening equity, belonging, and collaboration across Thurston County.
This free two-day community experience is designed to foster multi-racial, intergenerational collective action among community leaders and individuals passionate about equity and racial justice and dedicated to making a difference, organizers said.
“We invite all who live, work, study, or play in Thurston County and are committed to racial justice and equity for all to come together and take part in crafting solutions. Your voice is crucial,” organizers said.
The Summit opens on Friday with a Connection & Networking Experience designed to build trust and ground participants in shared purpose, according to the DEIB’s website. On Saturday, the gathering continues with a full day of collective learning, storytelling, youth leadership, and interactive development sessions that deepen understanding and inspire action.
Friday, May 1’s programming runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is focused on “Tribal Partnership, Cultural Acknowledgement, and Community Connection.”
