Tenino picked up its second win of the season on Tuesday, topping Eatonville 7-4 in a 1A non-league matchup.
The Beavers built a lead immediately, scoring a run in the bottom of the first, and they added five runs across the third and fourth to extend the lead to 6-0.
“We jumped out early,” Tenino coach Chris Johnson said.
Six different Beavers tallied a hit in the win, including two from Chloe Grayless, who also drove in two runs and struck out six without allowing an earned run in seven innings of work in the circle.
“Chloe Grayless had a great game,” Johnson said. “She pitched really well.”
Tamara Snodderly added a double and drove in two runs, and Preslee Fisher also drove in a run and drew two walks.
“Everybody hit the ball hard today,” Johnson said. “We put the ball in play. It was good to see us finally get that part of the game going … Hopefully we can carry some momentum into Thursday.”
Tenino (2-5, 0-4 1A Evergreen) will head to Hoquiam on Thursday.
