Saint Martin’s women’s golf opens season with 9th-place finish at Travis Roy Memorial

The Saint Martin’s women’s golf team opened its 2026 fall season at the Travis Roy Memorial Invitational from Sept. 13 through Sept. 15 in Sheridan, Wyoming.

The Saints placed ninth out of 12 teams, finishing with a combined team score of 999 (+135). 

Freshman Bri-Ela Nakagawa shined in her collegiate debut, shooting an 82 (+10) on day one before improving her score to 79 (+7) in round two and 81 (+9) in round three. She finished with a 242 (+26) to place 25th overall out of 67 golfers.

Freshman Kallie Phon tallied a 246 (+30) to place 34th, recording an 84 +12) in round one before shooting 81 (+9) in both rounds two and three.



Freshman Lily Peralta, a Rainier graduate, finished one stroke behind Phon, placing 35th with a final score of 247 (+31). She shot an 81 (+9) in round one, an 82 (+10) in round two and an 84 (+12) in round three.

Junior Hailey Blancas placed 51st with a score of 264 (+48) as she recorded an 87 (+15) in round one followed by an 88 (+16) in round two and an 89 (+17) in the final round.

Sophomore Makenna Paxton rounded out the efforts for the Saints, placing 59th with a final score of 276 (+60).

The Saints will host their annual home event, the Grisham Memorial Shootout, at The Home Course in Dupont from Sept. 21 through Sept. 22.
