The Saint Martin’s women’s basketball team kept rolling Saturday as the Saints jumped all over Seattle Pacific early to win 67-47 in Seattle.

The Saints set the tone in the first quarter, using a 10-0 run and a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Laiken Hill to take a 23-8 lead after the period.

Saint Martin’s caught fire once again in the second quarter, shooting 69% from the field to increase its margin to 21 at halftime. Seattle Pacific never made a dent in the margin, and the Saints remained ahead by about 20 throughout the second half.

Hill led all scorers with 18 points on an efficient 7 of 11 from the field and 4 of 6 from behind the arc. Avery Oaster added 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds, and Jada Travis scored 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds. The Saints knocked down eight 3-pointers in the game.

Saint Martin’s improves to 14-8 overall and 10-3 in the GNAC. This season marks the first time the Saints have recorded 10 or more wins in conference action since winning 11 in 2013-14.

The Saints will return home Saturday afternoon to host Western Oregon for the first of a three-game home stand.
