The Rochester boys golf team lost against Montesano at Riverside on Wednesday, as the Bulldogs came away with a 161-196 victory.
Boden Grimm led the Warriors with a 45, while Clayton Knutson added a 48. Darin Ware wasn’t far behind at 49, and Lucas Barberg rounded out the Rochester scoreline with a 54.
All four of Montesano’s golfers finished at 45 or below, including Boden Grimm, who finished as the match medalist with a 37.
“Montesano came out and played a great round,” Rochester coach Brian Keese said. “We're really aspiring to get our program to a similar point, with the sustained success they've had the last few years. I really admire what Coach Grajek is doing with that program. For us, I was really excited to see Clayton (Knutson) play his best round of the season against our toughest competition, and Boden (Grimm) has continued to have a standout senior season so far.”
The Warriors will be back in action against Kalama on Monday at the Longview Country Club.
