The fourth-seeded Rochester boys soccer team lost its first district game on Tuesday, losing a quarterfinal 5-0 against No. 1 Fort Vancouver at the Kiggins Bowl in Vancouver.
The Warriors move to the elimination bracket, where they will have to win two consecutive games to earn a state tournament berth.
Their first matchup is in Elma on Thursday, and the winner of that matchup will play the loser of the Columbia (White Salmon)/Raymond/South Bend semifinal on Saturday at Tenino High School.
Rochester (9-9, 9-7 1A Evergreen) played Elma twice in the regular season, losing both matchups.
