Both River Ridge’s and Mount Tahoma’s girls swimming teams played with shorter rosters than usual, but the Hawks came out on top 93-25 Thursday afternoon in Tacoma.
River Ridge’s 200-yard medley relay team came out on top with a first-place time of 2 minutes, 39.01 seconds, and its 200-yard freestyle relay team won at 2:18.20.
Aiden Ward won the 200-yard freestyle at 3:08.66, and Brennan Gore triumphed in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 8:23.09.
Arizona Fouts earned the top time in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:15.37 and took second in the 50-yard freestyle at 33.44 seconds. Rosalie Ponce secured first place in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:39.74.
“Mount Tahoma only had six girls, and we had one out sick,” River Ridge head coach Nikki Viehweg said. “It was a fun meet to finish out our week and give us some motivation to take on Lincoln on Tuesday.”
