It’s becoming quite the theme for the Mountaineers over the last week to win and sweep their opposition, the latest a 25-11, 25-20, 25-15 triumph over Montesano on Thursday night at home.
That’s now four straight victories and four straight sweeps for Rainier (6-1) heading into Monday’s non-league match versus Rochester, another South Thurston County school.
Allyson Ooms continued her stellar start to the year with 23 kills, eight digs and a pair of aces from the service line. Ellie Pringle added seven kills while Lexi Beckman plus Reagan Bloom combined for seven kills and six blocks at the net.
Beckman also notched four aces, a team-best. The Mountaineers have seen four sets of their opponent reaching 20 points during the win streak.
