Rainier began a stretch of three non-league games in three days with a dominant win on Monday, topping Raymond/South Bend 13-1 in five innings.
The Ravens got on the board first with a run in the top of the first, but the Mountaineers immediately responded with two runs in the bottom half before scoring 11 runs over the next three to blow the game open.
Wyatt McIntyre finished with two hits and drove in three runs, while Yazama Gurnsey added three hits and an RBI of his own.
Tristin Sawyer, Nathaniel Maggard, and Peyton Sheaffer added a hit and an RBI each, and Kaden Goodman drove in a run, drew three walks, and scored twice without recording an official at-bat.
Kaymen Larman (three innings) and Blake Fennel (two innings) combined to no-hit the Ravens, striking out six while allowing just one unearned run.
Rainier (9-9, 8-8 C2BL) will finish its regular season with trips to Rochester and Tenino on Tuesday and Wednesday.
After that, the Mountaineers will enter the district tournament as the C2BL’s No. 5 seed, and they’ll face RSB again in Napavine on Saturday at 11 a.m.
