- Officers arrested the suspect in the aggravated assault reported this week. The suspect strangled the victim during an argument.
- Three auto thefts reported with one arrest. One case was also a commercial burglary. The vehicle and keys were inside the building. It’s unknown how the suspect entered, but once inside, they used the keys to steal the van and all the tools inside. They also stole a wheelbarrow full of more tools. In another case, the keys were left in the vehicle. In the arrest, the victim left the car running briefly unattended while delivering newspapers to a business. Officers recognized the suspect from security footage and with the help of partners at the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, the car was located and the suspect arrested.
- The two residential burglaries were both violations of no contact orders at the same address with two different suspects.
- A theft case was reported where the suspect stole a door handle and lockbox with the key to the victim’s home. A K9 and drone were used to try and find the suspect, but no one matching the security footage was located.
