Posted

The Olympia Police Department responded to a total of 1,105 calls for service this week.

The department remarked upon the following notable trends:

  • One residential burglary was reported. A man and woman pried open a door to a multi-housing property and then used bolt cutters to defeat the locks on the bikes. An officer recovered one of the bikes.
  • Officers arrested a suspect in the commercial burglary. He returned to a store he was previously trespassed from and stole again. During the arrest, the suspect fell limp, was checked by medics and taken to the hospital. He has a history of this behavior during previous arrests and woke up immediately after being medically cleared for booking. Additional charges were referred to the prosecutor for possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics after officers also located a small bag of white powder, a pipe, used foil and two used tooters on him. He also had two warrants.
  • The investigation into the deaths of three people by apparent gunshot wounds at an Olympia residence on Saturday, Feb. 7 is still open. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact dispatch at 360-704-2740.
  • One auto theft was reported. A 2005 Chevy Tahoe was stolen and recovered in Kent.
  • Officers recovered an e-bike that was stolen in 2025. The suspect had a felony warrant, and officers located drugs and a scale on him during the arrest. They recovered 26.62 grams of suspected fentanyl and two grams of meth. The estimated resale value of the fentanyl was between $2,600 to $5,200.
