An Olympia man is facing possible DUI and vehicular assault charges after he allegedly caused a crash that injured two people near Yelm on Sunday.

The crash was reported on state Route 510 near Mudrun Road Southeast at approximately 9:24 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.

Doyle K. James, 50, was reportedly driving a beige 2008 Jeep Liberty westbound on State Route 510 when he entered the eastbound lanes and struck a red 2012 Dodge Ram driven by a 29-year-old Yelm man.

Both vehicles came to rest in the eastbound and westbound lanes.

The driver of the Dodge and the passenger of the Jeep, a 61-year-old Lacey woman, sustained injuries and were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital for treatment.

James was uninjured.
