The Northwest Christian baseball team seemed to take out all of its frustrations from its three-game losing streak on Summit Atlas in the first inning, blasting 10 runs en route to a 17-3 win Thursday inning.
Before the Orcas recorded the first out, Northwest Christian had six runs on the scoreboard. Jadon Dillingham drove in the first run before Jack Vahey smacked a first-pitch grand slam. JJ Nobles followed with an RBI single, and Bennett Hall also added an RBI in the 10-run first.
Luke Nickel and Vahey each collected an RBI in the second inning. Vahey finished with six RBIs, and four Wolverines recorded two hits apiece.
“Always nice to get back in the win column,” Northwest Christian head coach Jordan Potis said.
Northwest Christian (4-3, 2-3 SeaTac League) will get 11 days off before returning to the Regional Athletic Complex for a non-league contest against Ocosta.
