The South Sound YMCA has recently announced that Chief Financial Officer Colleen Oczkewicz has been selected to receive the YMCA Women of Excellence Award from the National Women’s Leadership Resource Network (WLRN).
The Women of Excellence Award recognizes outstanding women across the YMCA movement who champion positive change, inspire others, and create meaningful, measurable impact through their leadership, a news release from the YMCA stated. Colleen was selected for her unwavering commitment to the YMCA’s mission and her exceptional leadership in her community.
Known for her integrity, wisdom, and steady leadership, Colleen plays a vital role in strengthening the YMCA. Her dedication helps ensure the YMCA remains strong, sustainable, and able to continue serving the community for years to come, according to the release. “Colleen’s thoughtful leadership and care for both the organization and its people have made a lasting impact across the Y and our South Sound Community,” the release stated.
“Simply put, we are a better YMCA because of Colleen,” Kyle Cronk, President and CEO of the South Sound YMCA said. “Her commitment to our mission and her ability to support and uplift others exemplify the very best of the YMCA movement.”
Colleen’s recognition was announced on International Women’s Day during the AMPLIFY Virtual Experience, the WLRN’s annual event focused on connecting and empowering women across the YMCA network.
