Just one week into her prep career, River Ridge girls soccer freshman Kinsley Phillips is already up to five career goals in three games.
Phillips secured her second brace in three games Thursday night in a 2-1 Hawks win at Shelton. After a scoreless first half, River Ridge had to fight back after Shelton sophomore Mila Moore found the back of the net around the 42nd minute mark.
Phillips notched her first goal of the night in the 54th minute to knot the score, and she followed up it 10 minutes later with the go-ahead goal.
River Ridge (2-0-1) will look to remain unbeaten Tuesday, Sept. 15 against Evergreen (Vancouver) at Nisqually Middle School’s turf field.
