Inspire Olympia funding applications are now open to eligible organizations that demonstrate a commitment to Inspire Olympia’s mission of a healthy, visible, welcoming, and inclusive cultural sector, making creative experiences accessible for everyone in Olympia, according to the City of Olympia’s website.
To apply, an organization must meet four primary eligibility requirements to apply for Inspire Olympia Funding:
- Mission alignment: the organization’s primary purpose — meaning stated mission and the majority of activities — must be to advance and preserve arts, culture, heritage, and/or science.
- Non-profit status: the organization must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, incorporated under the laws of Washington State and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) OR have a fiscal sponsor with an aligned mission who is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
- Location: the organization’s official business address is within Olympia City Limits, or is outside of Olympia City Limits, but the majority of services are provided within the City limits or Olympia residents or the Olympia School District.
- Program delivery: the organization directly provides at least one cultural event or program per year for the general public or youth.
