Tony Frohlich-Fair scored nearly half of The Evergreen State College men’s basketball team’s points against The College of Idaho Saturday, but the Geoducks were crushed by the Yotes 100-52 in Caldwell, Idaho.
Frohlich-Fair scored 25 points on 11 of 20 shooting, but the rest of the team only put up 27. Evergreen fell behind 43-26 at halftime, with Frohlich-Fair and Bradley Graham combining to score 20 of the 26 Geoducks points. But 13 turnovers halted any chance for Evergreen to climb out of its hole.
The second half was all Yotes, who outscored the Geoducks 57-26 over the final 20 minutes and shot 60.5% from the field compared to Evergreen’s 27.3%.
Outside of Frohlich-Fair’s 25, Graham collected 10 points and Tyler No scored five. Nathan Behr added four, while four others each scored two.
Evergreen (3-15, 3-13 Cascade Collegiate Conference) arrives home this weekend to host Lewis-Clark State College Friday afternoon.
