Free paint recycling event in Tumwater

Residents with old cans of paint, stain, or varnish taking up shelf space should mark their calendar for Saturday, Sep. 12, when the Port of Olympia, Thurston County, and the City of Tumwater will host a free paint recycling drop-off in partnership with GreenSheen Paint.

The collection event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7141 Cleanwater Drive SW, Tumwater.

To prevent long wait times and ensure steady traffic flow throughout the day, residents are asked to pre-register. Select a drop-off time slot online at https://tinyurl.com/2mhbx568 before attending.

Residents and local businesses can bring unwanted architectural paint products free of charge. GreenSheen Paint will collect, process, and re-manufacture the recycled latex paint into paint products.
