Evergreen women’s soccer posts first clean sheet since 2024 in 0-0 draw with Carroll College

The Evergreen State College women’s soccer team celebrated its first clean sheet since Oct. 25, 2024, as the Geoducks played to a scoreless draw with Carroll College in Helena, Montana, Saturday afternoon.

Junior goalkeeper Melina Grijalva and senior Katie Gresham shared the shutout. Grijalva started the first 45 minutes and recorded three saves, while Gresham entered in the second half and posted two saves. 

Carroll College outshot Evergreen 19-3, but the Saints only had five shots on target while the Geoducks had one. Evergreen senior Daliya Prohim had a shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but it was saved. 

Evergreen (0-4-2, 0-3-1 Cascade Collegiate Conference) will return to Olympia to face the University of Providence on Thursday, Oct. 1.
