The Evergreen State College has received NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star recognition at the silver level for 2025-26 for its commitment to character-driven athletics. In addition, the Cascade Collegiate Conference, of which Evergreen is a member, has been honored as a Champions of Character Five-Star conference for 2025-26.
The Champions of Character program focuses on five key areas: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to the Champions of Character program and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion.
Nationwide, a total of 203 NAIA colleges and universities were chosen as Champions of Character Five-Star institutions. Scores were recorded on a 100-point scale with award levels of gold (90 to 100 points), silver (75 to 89 points) and bronze (60-74 points). Six member institutions in the CCC received gold status, while Evergreen and four other CCC members received silver status.
