The Evergreen State College women’s soccer team is ranked 12th in the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason coaches poll.
College of Idaho leads the poll with 164 points and nine of 13 first-place votes.
In the 2025 season, the Geoducks were 1-10-1 in the CCC and 1-13-1 overall. Head coach Kate Schmidt is in her third season leading the Evergreen women’s soccer team.
Two returning Geoducks, senior forward Madeline Dorendorf and junior forward Izzy Widener, each scored five goals while playing in all 15 games in 2025. Dorendorf also added one assist to lead the Geoducks with 11 total points.
The Geoducks will open the 2026 regular season by taking on Park University (Arizona) on Thursday, Aug. 20 at Geoduck Pitch at 2:30 p.m.
College of Idaho held the top ranking in this year’s CCC preseason poll with a 14-point margin. Eastern Oregon followed in second place with 150 points and one first-place vote. Southern Oregon was third with 140 points and one first-place vote, while Rocky Mountain College was fourth with 118 points.
Carroll College was listed fifth in the poll with 112 points and one first-place vote. Oregon Tech was sixth with 105 points, and Northwest was seventh with 101 points and one first-place vote.
Bushnell was next in eighth place with 76 points, Warner Pacific was ninth with 60 points, and University of Providence was 10th with 56 points. Corban held 11th place at 53 points, Evergreen was 12th with 34 points, and Walla Walla was 13th with 14 points.
