The Evergreen State College men’s soccer team allowed a whopping 32 shots to Carroll College, and two found the back of the net in the second half in a 2-0 loss Saturday afternoon in Helena, Montana.
Evergreen was outshot 20-3 in the first half, with the Geoducks’ best chance coming in the 37th minute when Kolby Juarez’s shot was saved. After a scoreless first half, Carroll scored three minutes into the second half on a goal by Sam Loughton.
The Saints added to their lead with a goal from Felix Billard in the 66th minute. Evergreen recorded just four shots on goal, all of which were saved. Geoducks senior goalkeeper Tom Cole earned nine saves.
Evergreen (2-3-3, 0-3-1 Cascade Collegiate Conference) will return home Thursday, Oct. 1 to host the University of Providence.
