State Sen. John Braun, R-Centralia, and his congressional campaign team announced this week that it has raised more than $800,000 in the first four months of the campaign, pointing to the fundraising effort as a signal of the strength of Braun’s bid for congressional office.

Braun has raised approximately $839,000, according to a news release from the campaign.

The campaign added that roughly $330,000 of that money was donated in the last three months of 2025 and that 98% has come from within Washington state. The campaign reports having about $700,000 in cash on hand.

The campaign’s statement added that Braun’s campaign is in full swing as he has begun touring the state’s Third Congressional District to meet with residents and leaders.

“John Braun is working hard to represent the people of Southwest Washington, and that commitment shows in his character, his record and the effort he’s made to meet voters across the district over the past three months,” Braun’s campaign manager, Max Lavey, said. “John isn’t running to play politics or serve his own interests — he wants to go to Washington, D.C., to get things done.”

In its last official campaign finance disclosure, which captured fundraising and spending activity through the end of September, Braun’s campaign had raised just over $500,000.

The John Braun for Congress campaign is doing its best to catch up to incumbent Marie Gluesenkemp Perez, D-Skamania.

According to her own campaign finance disclosures through September, the Gluesenkamp Perez campaign raised just over $2.4 million, with roughly $1.8 million on hand.

The announcement from Braun’s campaign comes just before a federal campaign finance filing deadline, which requires the campaigns of all candidates for federal office or incumbents running reelection campaigns to disclose information about their fundraising and spending over the last three months. That report will give more detailed information, including exact fundraising and spending amounts, who has contributed to the campaign, where contributions have come from, and how the money has been spent.
