There were plenty of runs to go around in Onalaska on Tuesday, where the Tenino Beavers topped the host Loggers 22-10 in five innings.
Tenino scored in every inning, including a 12-run fourth that turned a 6-4 lead into an 18-4 advantage. Onalaska scored three runs in the fourth and fifth, but a four-spot from Tenino in the fifth kept the run-rule in effect.
“It was a great game,” Tenino coach Chris Johnson said. “The bats came alive. The girls hit the ball really well.”
Eight different Beavers recorded a hit in the win, including Tamara Snodderly, who hit a home run and finished with five runs batted in. Callie Mickelson added two hits and drove in four runs.
“Mickelson had an amazing day at the plate,” Johnson said. “I am really happy with how she’s progressing for this being her first year of softball.”
Macie Scharber tacked on two hits and three RBIs, and both Katen Burkhardt and Chloe Grayless added a pair of RBIs.
Jaeleen Woodward and Kylie Gonia added a hit and an RBI apiece, and Preslee Fisher hit a double, drew a walk, and scored twice.
Kate Zandell, Kaiyah Sandridge, and Braelyn Babb picked up two hits apiece to lead the Loggers offensively, and Abby Ellis drove in two runs.
Renzy Marshall, Peyton Iverson, Zandell, and Babb drove in one run each.
Onalaska (7-6, 2-3 C2BL) will head to Ocosta for another non-league matchup on Wednesday, while Tenino (5-11, 1-5 1A Evergreen) will host Rochester on Thursday.
