Beavers drop third consecutive game on lengthy homestand

Only trailing by six after the opening quarter, the Tenino High School boys basketball team couldn’t get any closer and eventually fell to Vashon Island 62-40 on Tuesday night in a non-league game at home.

The Pirates built their lead up to 18 by halftime and coasted from there. The Beavers (1-7) were led by Jeremiah McKague’s eight points while Brayden Bennett and Henry Czuleger each had six. Sawyer Noonan scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Tenino still has four more home games before hitting the road in the Evergreen League opener versus Montesano. It will host Seton Catholic and Stevenson to close the 2025 calendar year.
